Being Indian is definitely not bad because of all the advantages like free money and cheaper food. There are some disadvantages to like being profiled by cops and just strange looks might be the worst. Because I am naturally tan i think that is an advantage because i dont have to go taning, i dont get sunburnt that easy, and i think being tan just gives me a differnt way of thinking about things. Not that not being tan is bad because everyone thinks different and i think the color of your skin does mean somthing. I think goups of people should be different colors because it dosen't just make the person who is colored think but the people around them to.

Indian in the cupboard

I went to a pretty much white school there were a couple other tan and black kids and everyone knew who they were. so it wasn't a bad thing being different but at the same time it was.
I would say being Indian in a pretty much white school is controversial, but made me think i wouldn't want to be any other color. Being Indian at school i would get alot of the same questions like what type of Indian are you like American Indian or red dot Indian, do you get money, and how much money. getting the same questions from about everyone. You get a sense of how people feel about Indians by how they respond when i say I'm Indian some think casino and some think free fishing and hunting or free money. im not saying being indian in school is bad just different by what i can tell.

I'm the only noticeable tan person on one side of my family besides one uncle that lives in Texas so hes not usually around. so when we have little family gatherings I'm the only tan person. If you think it wouldn't feel weird because there are your family your wrong.

When family is around that i haven't met they look at me real funny and I have herd some whisper to other people who is he and that doesn't help me feel any bedder. But that is why i usually only talk to certain people at them. But on my dads side mostly all of them are Indian but there are a couple that are white. Most of them live in Florida anyway so I don't see them that often. But when i am around them i get a better sense of belonging than with my moms side.

No money but the casino sounds so fun

Being indian and going to the casino is fun, because you get a sence of you arnt getting stared at by everyone. People know that indians own it but are never sure who they are. So any indian could own or be the kid of the owner.It is differant than being at alot of places. When i walk around the casino i hardly ever see indians gambling. So that makes me think if you are indian and get money you probly arnt bringing it to the casino. I am indian and currently dont get money for it witch is ok but i would not mind it.

Going to the casino and spending ten or twenty bucks isent bad because if i went to a movie I would spend about the same thing. Just getting the money to go is the problem. If i ever did get money for being indian i wouldnt go to the casino because that would be giving it back to them and im not an indian giver.

It is weird not getting free money when everyone says do you get free money for being Indian. The main reason i don't get Indian money is because my dad wont send me the paper work and i need his verification on it witch he wont give me.I'm also lazy and not sure how it all works. I have tried online, on a couple websites but there to confusing and need information im not able to get.
